However, you can only play golf with a golf ball, and drawing a gold ball can be harder than you think!
It might not be as easy as expected, but it can become a lot easier if you have a guide to follow!
How to Draw A Golf Ball
Step 1
For this first step of our how to draw a golf ball guide, we’ll use a pencil to draw some rough outlines to help you draw.
Start in pencil by drawing a circle in the middle of the page.
You can use a tool like a drawing compass to help you with trouble drawing freehand.
Then you can draw some lines coming out from below for the tee. Once you have it drawn, you can add some lines around the tee for the grass.
When happy with its appearance, you can go over the round ball again with the pen.
Step 2
Golf balls are covered with many small indentations called dimples, and we draw them for this part of your golf ball design.
To do this, draw a few dots of different sizes on the ball with your pen. Right now, we’re just doing the left side of the ball.
Step 3
In this part of our guide on how to draw a golf ball, we’ll draw more dimples than you started in the previous step.
Just add more points spanning the center of the ball like you did in the previous step.
Step 4
You can finally finish the dimples in this part of your golf ball design. These will fill in the rest of the ball, but there will be a bare spot near the top right side of the ball.
This finishes up the dimples on the ball, allowing us to focus on more elements for the next few passes.
Step 5
We’re done with the ball for now, so in this next step of our how-to draw a golf ball guide, let’s add some details on the tee.
To do this, walk over the pencil lines for the tee extending from the golf ball’s bottom.
Step 6
After you’ve drawn the ball and tee, you can start adding grass to your golf ball design in this step.
You must draw clean lines around the base of the tee, as you can see in the reference image.
Once you’ve drawn those first few blades of grass, you’re ready for the final details in the next step!
Step 7
In this part of our guide on how to draw a golf ball, we’ll add some final details before we start coloring your image.

First, you can pull more blades of grass around the tee. You can also add more or less if you prefer for your photo.
Once you’ve drawn all those details, you can erase the pencil lines from step one if you haven’t already.
You can also add any details you want before proceeding! Some examples are drawing the end of a golf club next to the ball or background to show where golf is being played!
Step 8
This final step in drawing your golf ball is to add some nice colors to your photo! In our example, we used green for the grass and some shades of gray for the ball.

However, this is only one way to colorize this image, and you should get creative with it and add all your details!
A golf ball can come in all colors, giving you much freedom in color choice.
Once you know what colors you want, you can also have fun choosing mediums and artistic tools to help you bring them to life.
Acrylic paints, crayons, or markers can help create a vibrant, colorful image, while watercolors, crayons, or crayons create a softer, more subdued image.
